Vacuum Metalizing Services

Advanced Vacuum Metalizing Solutions for Superior Coatings

Vacuum Metalizing Coating Technology

Mueller Coatings provides production vacuum metalizing services — also called vacuum metallizing or vacuum metallization — from our facility in East Bridgewater, Massachusetts. Twelve automated vacuum chambers, using both thermal evaporation and magnetron sputtering, apply a thin, uniform metal film to injection-molded plastics, engineered polymers, glass, composites and select metals for EMI/RFI shielding, reflective and decorative applications. We are ISO 9001:2015, AS9100D and ISO 13485:2016 certified and ITAR registered, and we support projects from early prototypes through full-scale production with no minimum order quantity.

What is Vacuum Metalizing?

Vacuum metalizing is the process of evaporating metals, most commonly aluminum, inside a vacuum chamber and bonding them to the desired substrate. This process is called thermal evaporation and is the most common PVD (physical vapor deposition) method of choice for many industries due to its many advantages.

Our team collaborates closely with clients to know their unique challenges and create exceptional performance coatings. We pride ourselves on delivering consistent, high-quality outcomes and protecting our clients’ products in even the most demanding environments. Our state-of-the-art facilities and continuous investment in research and development keep us at the forefront of the vacuum metalizing industry.
