Since our founding in 1955 by industry visionary Walter W. Mueller, Mueller Corporation (now dba as Mueller Coatings) has become a leader in the field of vacuum metalizing and spray coatings. With decades of experience, we have continually pushed the boundaries of innovation, setting new standards in EMI, RFI, and ESD shielding solutions. Now in the hands of the second and third generations of the Mueller family, our legacy is one of precision, expertise, and a relentless commitment to quality.

The Company was founded in 1955 by Walter William Mueller, a man known as one of the pioneers in the vacuum metalizing industry. Mr. Mueller gained practical experience with an engineering company that designed and installed vacuum equipment for various applications which included providing optical coatings for the military as well as providing system design for Vacuum Metalizing job shops. He traveled worldwide with the company supervising the installation and startup of equipment and systems until selling his share in that business and then founding the Mueller Corporation.

Walter’s son, Glen Walter Mueller, continued ownership of the business in 1984 and helped grow and improve the business until his retirement in 2020.

The business moves forward to the third generation with Glen’s son Glenn William Mueller. Glenn, who grew up working in the business became the President in 2015 and in 2020 became the sole owner President and CEO.

Walter Mueller’s wife Priscilla, who has been an integral part of the business from the start, retired in 2016
